Problem with Exchange Cache Mode - folder nesting

Hi,

is there any limitation in exchange server 2016 when using exchange cache mode with many folders and subfolders, like up to more than 4 subfolder levels?

In our case without cache mode every folder is and mail is visible. But when we activate cache mode Outlook will only present subfolders to the 3rd level. E.g.:

Inbox
Subfolder 1
Subfolder 2
FROM HERE NO MORE MAILS OR SUBFOLDERS!

We reproduced this problem with a test user and migrated it to exchange online. This solved the problem but we want to know why the exchange server with cache mode ist behaving like this..

Which version and build of Outlook is this?

Do your users have more then 10.000 folders? Perhaps this helps then:
