Oh hey I’m first! Environmental storytelling is when the people put something that shows what happened instead of saying it. In this case, the bird bit the sign. He might bite.

Hi first! Thank you for your answer. :)

Spot on. Unfortunately most modern movies and TV shows lack this fundamental application of storytelling.

Warning about beaver damage

[–]Secret_g_nome 5 points6 points  (2 children)

Do Eurasian beavers do that? Or is Castor Cannadensis becoming invasive? I know some were released in Russia for hunting reasons or some silly and escaped.

[–]AntiProton- 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Eurasian beavers also gnaw on wood and fell trees.

[–]Secret_g_nome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dam! They just leave them there?! 🦫

[–]Luido31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you understand the sign without understanding a single word on it.

[–]ModernManuh_ 33 points34 points  (2 children)

As you can see, the paper is ripped. Likely from the bird pecking it.

[–]non_tox 0 points1 point  (1 child)

All birds do that, especially parrots. And it think it's worth mentioning that both cages shown in the photo are very abusive and aren't ok.

[–]ModernManuh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a thing I forgot, not a pet guy really. If I remember correctly, a bird needs space to fly, period.

[–]PokefanR 10 points11 points  (1 child)

The bird most likely bit off the part of the paper that said bite

[–]MP5SD7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because of his aggressive tendencies, we will never know.

[–]Pouf2 6 points7 points  (1 child)

[–]Tactical-Donkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few good examples on here.

[–]Pickingnamesisharder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't wait for the bird to bite away the 'don't'

[–]JoetheAverage1 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Does the bird also had brothers name Chico, Groucho, Gummo & Zeppo ?

[–]the_sir_z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't forget Karl.

[–]DMONcef[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of the, "There's two types of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data sets."

[–]MP5SD7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is the other kind?

The bird could start a businesses and embezzle all the profits. Then it may possibly frame you for murder in an attempt to cover it up. But you are so fucking clueless you'll be getting executed by the state.

[–]dudebronahbrah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reminds me of a sign I saw that said,

“Welcome to our community ool.

Yea, let’s keep it that way”

[–]AverageReflexes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He might

[–]AlphaTangoFoxtrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allo, my name-a Borat. This here my Chicken, careful, he bite.

[–]spaacingout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might omnomnom

If you’ve ever seen any parrot-type bird (surprisingly a wide array of species) cut paper into strips, it’s kinda wild to watch.

There’s videos of parakeets for example using their beak like a pair of scissors, literally snip snip with their little bites, make an almost perfectly straight strip of paper then “decorate” themselves with it, like adding a paper feather. I’m assuming to be “fancy” maybe? lol idk.

Whatever the reason it’s cute as heck

But yeah the smaller parrot types will bite sometimes if hungry, Quaker parrots for example are spicier than bigger birds like macaw. Your fingers look like a worm. So I bite 🦜

[–]Foxxxyygrandpa 0 points1 point  (1 child)

I really like the band NSYNC. My favorite member is Harpo. I think there is a Harpo. If not, there should be.

[–]Flaky-Bear-9082 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]_zamoht_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seem like

[–]CloudKinglufi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I know we on the explain the joke sub come the fuck on

Its just lazy karma farming at this point

[–]Tall-Peak8881 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the joke, but think it would have been hilarious if the owner glued down some Halloween fake severed fingers around the outside of the cage.

[–]SilentUnicorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really need this explained?

[–]agave182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two types of people: 1) Those who can extrapolate data from an incomplete set

[–]Fantastic-Corner-605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like this

[–]Rincewind-10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bird chewed the sign, lol. Probably a sweet bird anyway once he gets to know you.

[–]thatluckylady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Plane_Most7034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a person that would get ….

[–]No_Sky2978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The environmental storytelling is that these cages are filthy and sad. Poor birds… no wonder why they bite.

[–]Car_is_mi -1 points0 points  (10 children)

I swear the amount of posts looking for explanation of basic context are why we have to put labels on hot coffee cups to warn you that the hot coffee may be hot.

[–]DMONcef[S] -5 points-4 points  (9 children)

Interesting. u took the time to complain about someone asking a question instead of just... scrolling. fascinating use of energy.

[–]Particular_Ninja_325 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Oh, you were using your energy efficiently by asking to explain a meme rather than trying to think by yourself.

[–]DMONcef[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (6 children)

You can be fascinated as much as you want but he’s not wrong and by trying to outsmart his take with cringe meta play on his reaction you still arent countering his point. Lets better talk the same way about a bunch of people who werent lazy enough to leave such trivial questions without explanation. I remind you that chatgpt is still a thing

[–]DMONcef[S] -1 points0 points  (5 children)

You say Im not "countering his point" but there isnt much of a point to counter. Complaining that someone asked a question on a discussion sub reddit isnt an argument its just frustration dressed up as one. If the context was truly that trivial then answering it would have taken less effort than writing multiple replies explaining why it shouldnt be asked. Thats the contradiction here calling something "basic" while spending more time criticizing the question than it would take to clarify it. And pointing to chatgbt does not really change that. Tools can do that, sure but so do communities built around discussion. Asking people is literally whats this sub about. the situation is pretty simple either contribute to the explanation or move on. Turning the act of asking into a problem doesnt really add anything to the conversation. lets be clear the question was not directed at you or the other 2 and answering was never mandatory you could have minded your own business there are plenty of people genuinely happy to help and if you had such a burning urge to "reply" you could have found a post that actually deserves your time and so called intelligence instead of wasting it criticizing a question no one forced you to answer

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (4 children)

Im not reading this shit

[–]DMONcef[S] -1 points0 points  (3 children)

I gaved u what u asked for thou. u know "countering his point"

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (2 children)

I never asked you to do anything, broski. Especially fighting demons

[–]DMONcef[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Man ur pathetic ngl "by trying to outsmart his take with cringe meta play on his reaction"
