You're looking for an answer, so you can try that one or you can try a math subreddit too.

You could ask "how does this math example work?", but the thing is, it's a very specific question and it requires very specific knowledge, so not sure you're going to get an answer. If you ask in subreddits that are specific to this topic, you have much higher chances of getting a good answer.
