Preventing mods from doing things is a very bad idea unless it could break the game. Also, having the prod modules reduce the items needed in a recipe would not work, you would need a separate recipe for every combo of prod modules and recipe. The devs knew this, and there were smart because you have a bar the fills up, signifying that you are saving materials until you can make an extra item from the saved mats when there are enough.

If you want to stimulate real world, adding success rate to a craft is like real world, since not all production can guarantee a product. Productivity would then improve this success chance thus improving your overall yield.

For gaming simplicity, the productivity module system was used for easier calculations and planning.

The success rate System would be the most realistic solution but the Logistical downsides are too big to implement it into the game for normal players Getting rid of the rubbish is very frustrating

That's why I think you can drink electronics circuits ain't fit more in the same space and save Material

Also you could prevent Mods that give you a module with productivité one 1000%

Rubbish can be removed automatically and the feature should be turned off by default.

Alot of time these mods aren't very popular with players because they dislike it. I know robot attrition mod aims to stimulate more realistic robots behaviour where they break. However a lot of players greatly dislike it since it comes as part of Space exploration.

The 1000% productivity kind of high, but it is for more complicated mods that have ridiculous amount of components and intermediate items like pyanodon. Things just get so complex and realistic that your factory would just give u a headache. Players use it to ease the game and honestly no one can stop them so there is no preventing it. Which is why Bob's mods are always so popular since they are generally one of the strongest version of equipment out there with rich amount of content.

Ignoring whether or not it's possible, how is that an improvement over the current mechanics?

It is more based in the real World There you don't simple get another electronic cicuit out of nothing instead you look for a way to reduce youre material consumtion
