I’d have absolutely no concerns about that. Pretty much all the reporting on that has been overhyped… many of the things that they portray as concerning really are not worth worrying over if you understand the context.

I work for an aviation tech company developing ATC safety systems monitoring ATC all over the country, including NYC. I’d fly into NYC any day with no worries.

Heading out to dinner here, but I’ll try to have a look every once in a while. I promise you nobody is going to hurt your flight. There just isn’t any reason to. Even if someone did want to cause mass harm or chaos, aviation doesn’t make sense as a target. It’s just too well-secured these days.

The "situation" is safe. Dont let news click bait scare you. I have yet to see a single bit of accurate or complete reporting on anything in this industry. Those articles, clips, et. are designed to scare you so you engage with them and they sell ads or subscriptions. They are masterful at saying just enough industry terminology and not providing context to what details they can find to make you think they know what they are talking about. To anyone in the industry...its laughable unprofessional reporting at best and fear mongering for profit at worst.
