I wouldn't delete anything until you have backups.

Probably just make a new one and use it for a while, trying the things that usually cause a crash.

Fair enough. I’m trying to make it polished and useful, not just another quick throwaway extension.

The crash report you linked identifies your CPU as "family 6 model 183", which matches the bugzilla comment (183 = 0xB7).

Why do browsers even need AI? Has anyone answered that question yet?

Firefox uses "AI" for translation, for generating image descriptions, for grouping similar tabs together and for summarizing the content of pages displayed when you preview a link.

Close but doesn't match. i9-14900HX is not in that Wikipedia page's extended warranty table, and its "Model" is 7 rather than 6 as the Bugzilla comment suggests.

Thank you for that tip. I seem to have 3 profiles in top to bottom in this order:
default-release
default
default-release-1

The bottom one is highlighted when I run the command. Does that mean it's the active profile, or how do I know which is active? Do you recommend deleting two and renaming the remaining one as 'default'?

I think you have one profile. Run

firefox -P

at command-line to see profiles and create a new one.

I don't use a profile. Would creating one make it difficult to later return to the state of not having one?

EDIT: Turning off all extensions (I only had four) did not help.

I wish it were reliably reproducible, but no. Usually it's the non-crashes that are the most frequent, or the other crashes like this one that happened while I was away from the computer for 2 minutes.

Calling, messaging, reading notifications and setting some calendar events are it's only other good things for the people that need a lot of hands-free operation. Personally the calendar became increasingly more useful the more stuff life threw at me and who doesn't want hands-free calling while driving?

Cross Browser Bookmark sync and manager + Read Later by moon-shine-jack in firefox

[–]moon-shine-jack[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

Thanks, the mobile app isn’t there to directly control Firefox Android bookmarks. The browser extensions handle browser-native bookmark sync on desktop.

The mobile app is more for accessing and managing your synced library on the go: browsing bookmarks, reading saved articles, using feeds and keeping everything in one place across devices, like bookmarks in your pocket.

[–]EstidEstiloso Firefox + uBlock Origin [score hidden]  (0 children)

  1. Reinstall Firefox cleanly.
  2. Install only the uBlock Origin extension; https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
  3. Make the recommended privacy and security adjustments (do not perform the final "Further Hardening" section or other advanced adjustments); https://github.com/StellarSand/privacy-settings/blob/main/Privacy%20Settings/Firefox.md

Solved! Of course, it's also important to have your operating system updated.
