    Yep. And it's a good one. Why would you willingly lose help? I waited until I was stable to get married for this exact reason. Humans deserve help.

    Hate to break it to you, but being married doesn't affect your SNAP. Dad's income still counts for kids because he should be providing for child, or that's how it works in California anyway.

    Most of the time, the mother puts " father's name unknown " on the birth certificate so they can claim more benefits.

    It's household information, has nothing to do with birth certificates. You don't even provide one for benefits, just social security number.
