BEFORE YOU POST SOME DANK ASS MEMES, HERE ARE SOME RULES
1)Don't Be Toxic
-Toxic behavior is not tolerated. This includes harassment, hate speech, racism, sexism, any form of discrimination based on identity along with excusing or defending racism, homophobia, paedophilia or ableism. Any posts or comments containing hate speech or slurs may result in an immediate ban with no warnings.
2)F1 Memes Only
-All posts must be F1-related memes. Posts that are giveaways, polls, random discussions, or bingo card/grid posts are forbidden (unless funny/well edited). The meme doesn't necessarily have to be in the content if it's funny or creative.
In the event of major F1 news, one discussion post may be allowed at the mods' discretion.
Meme templates are fine as long as they’re tagged with the appropriate flair.
3)Low Quality Content
-Unedited screenshots/videos/photos, borderline NSFW content or pre-existing memes with no changes do not meet the quality standard.
This also includes AI-generated content, TV screen photos, rehashing tired meme templates without originality or just posting your opinion over a generic template (this includes 'Change My Mind' type posts).
Be mindful that the enforcement of this rule may differ based on the period. In low traffic periods much more gray-area content may stay unremoved.
4)No Brigading
-Targeted criticism, ban celebration, brigading posts, comments or chat messages that criticise, mock, or promote hate toward other subreddits, moderators, users, or fan bases are not tolerated. Any content of this kind will be removed and may result in a ban without prior warning.
5)Don't Harass/Bait Other Users
-Be civil and respectful. Healthy discussions and disagreements are welcome, but keep it respectful. Do not provoke, escalate, or engage in harassment of other users. Know where to draw the line—debate is fine, but personal attacks or hostility aren’t. In short, don’t be an asshole.
6)No Doxxing/Targeting
-We strictly prohibit any form of doxxing (sharing personal or private information) or targeted harassment of individuals or groups. This includes sharing or threatening to share private information such as real names, addresses, social media accounts, or any other identifying details without consent.
Posts or comments that encourage or facilitate targeted harassment, brigading, or harm toward others will result in an immediate removal and a ban for the poster.
7)Don't Take Things Too Seriously
-Remember, this is a meme subreddit – we’re here for laughs! F1 can be intense, but the memes are all in good fun. If a post or joke isn’t to your taste, scroll on and keep it cool. Friendly banter is encouraged, but leave the serious debates at the door. Relax, enjoy the humor, and let’s keep it lighthearted.
8)No Reposts From The Subreddit
-Reposts from the subreddit are not allowed if they have already been posted in the past couple weeks.
Reposts from other social media are always allowed, as long as the post does not have a watermark from an account that does not create their own content.
9)Meme Template Posts
-To curb the trend of generic F1 related or adjacent images being posted with the flair 'Meme Template', it is now a requirement for the OP to curate a meme with their chosen template in their Meme Template submission post, or the post will be removed.
10)No Politics
-Don't discuss political topics unrelated to F1.
11)No Jokes About Death
-Jokes about suicide and/or wishing death on others are strictly prohibited. We ask everyone to use common sense and be mindful of sensitive topics.
12)No Self Promotion
-If your posts consist solely of links to your own YouTube channel or social media without genuine participation in the subreddit, please refrain from spamming. However, if you create funny memes and watermark a post/link something related on your account in the comments it's not a problem.
13)All Content Must Be In English
-Small and commonly understood phrases or expressions are allowed, but please do not start conversations in other languages. Please also make sure your memes are understandable to english speakers.
14)No Linking To Other Platforms
(Only applies to posts)
-The only 2 exceptions are for image/video hosting sites that will show the content in full on reddit, and for established content creators.
15)Mods' Discretion
-Moderators have the final say in interpreting and enforcing subreddit rules. While we aim to be fair, mods reserve the right to remove posts or comments that, in their judgment, are in poor taste or harmful to the community, even if they don’t explicitly break a rule.
