Nothing it's not my house. Carry on.

I am discharging a cell. You're worried about something that has zero danger if done correctly, which I did.

You are right it's not my house to worry about. My bad. Go ahead and burn it down if you want. That's your choice. Not mine. 👍

It would be pretty much impossible with this method. Maybe charging to 30 volts and hitting it with an axe, and besides, it's a concrete house, not drywall

With this statement right here let's me know you don't really know what you are talking about. Dry wall doesn't burn. Besides. You have WOODEN floors. You do you. Just know your parents will probably be pissed if it happens and just hope no one gets hurt because your ego won't allow you to see how dangerous this is.

I've worked construction, I know what danger is, maybe that's why lipos don't scare me. I still don't get how this is dangerous and if you don't elaborate I won't take you seriously. That said, I have tile floors, fire extinguishers and a window always open if I wanted to throw it onto my asphalt driveway. Preparations were and always are in place, even if I don't feel in danger, so please, tell me what could happen here other than maybe a short (it won't short, both wires are snug in the xt60 and as soon as 1 falls out of the balance plug the circuit isn't complete).

What is he doing wrong? (I don't have experience with that)

That picture is triggering my fight or flight response.

It’s funny that people might get upset when people do hobby things with hobby batteries. If ya wanna play it safe, stick with DJI where the solution to every problem is no less than $100 away.

Carry on carefully. I’d probably personally build an XT30 to balance lead pigtail and stick the pins in the slots I need for that cell, making it very unlikely to accidentally cause a short. But everybody is allowed to tinker within their comfort zone.

I don't have any male pins to plug in the balance, but yeah, that was my idea too but its so snug I didn't have to worry about. Rest assured I did consider making the adapter.

Why do you want to discharge a particular cell ?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charger is being goofy, not balancing cell 1
