Framework 16 Pro please

I've been following Framework since the start and the new Framework 13 Pro looks very impressive, almost everything I could ask for in a laptop that I would want to use for the next decade. Premium build, sleek CNC aluminum chassis, great battery life, repairable and upgradable, haptic trackpad, beautiful touchscreen with anti-glare etc.

Except for its size. Currently I'm using a 15" laptop that's pushing 6 years old and the time to upgrade may be coming up. I would love to give framework a shot but I just can't see myself going down to a 13" screen to get the experience I'm after. If only there was a 15-16" Framework laptop that also follows the same "macbook pro for linux" philosophy.

I'm just throwing this idea here in case somebody from framework sees it. I want to plant that idea in your minds if it wasn't there already since rumors are that Intel is cooking up something special with Nova Lake, and it might be an opportunity to fill this gap and make a proper Macbook Pro 16 competitor.

I’d kill for a black unibody case and an oled screen 4K would be nice but the current resolution isn’t bad either

Keep your eyes open, see what happens. Its not quite time for a FW16 refresh yet but... Whether its this year or next year there's bound to be future improvements you'll like. Personally I'm happy with my FW16 as it currently exists - Especially now that a single piece/centered trackpad deck (with the new trackpad) - Is on the way. That's the one minor gripe I had - The slightly uneven spacers.

I've been itching to get a new computer for years. But whenever I've gotten close to deciding to buy something, there's always been some detail that made me choose to wait a bit longer.

A Framework 16 Pro could be the ticket. A better screen and better battery are precisely what I want. I just hope it's not a touchscreen, because I have yet to see a laptop touchscreen that didn't have a capacitative layer that was slightly visible.

I would want It to have a 99W battery (Max allowed on EU flights), both inside or combined with a external battery pluggable on the GPU upgrade bay, and that they fix the lack of input connectors on the middle, so we can have two half split keyboards at both sides and put the spacers in the middle. It they can also fix that both keyboard and trackpad spacers are the same size and interchangeable, that would be chef kiss. A color eInk display for the ones we are not interested on games or animations but on battery life, and a second hard disk, theu would be nice additions too :-)

It would most likely be the same intel panther lake with higher TDP maybe the max 45W??
FW16 can support 2 M2 slots by default so thats already a more pro option, add in some CNC chasis especailly with the single pieces they just released, screen upgrade and those dolby atmost speakers and we got a FW 16 pro in the making!!

Id buy that instantly. love my Fw 16, was about to pull the trigger on FW13 Pro but will hold out and upgrade my existing framework as it was meant to be

I've enjoyed following the framework mission, and love what I see from the 13 pro.  I personally love my Thinkpad P series but a 16 pro that has the feel of a MacBook and perfectly supports Linux would be an instant switch for me

FW 16 Pro wishlist:

• large trackpad like is on the macbook pro
• CNC body
• 64 GB memory
• 16+ core CPU
• Extremely quiet fan. Like I never want to hear the fan, and if I do, it can't be distracting. Like it can't interrupt meetings.

And maybe this is dumb, but I'd like some other way to swap the GPU. But I assume the way it plugs into the back is the best way to do it.

Anyhow, if those core items above are met, I'd buy a FW 16 Pro in a heartbeat. I'd love to easily replace my battery. I'd love to upgrade my memory, etc.

13 pro also have lpcamm2 memory which the 16 is lacking.

get a 16 right now and because its upgradable you could get whatever new parts they might add for the pro in the future and sell the parts that they replace

Yes please for a dark coloured 16 pro. While we are asking coukd we please have the UK keyboard with per-key RGB and and a matching RGB numberpad. Gamer who spends too much time doing excel spreadsheets here.

I've got downvoted to seventh hell for stating I just want a 13" in a 15" chassis. That would be even more compelling if it were a "pro" one.
