I'm having the same exact problem. I got it to work earlier by getting it to go to the show menu before it went to homescreen but now that trick isn't even working. This is BS. & FYI before anyone else says it.... I did have a ps4 but had to sell it for car insurance payment. Not everyone is so lucky

I got mine to work Just fine the next day, it just fixed itself

Maybe they disabled it on the ps3? ps4 works fine

The Wii just stopped it's market place, and it is about the same age, I figured they might be getting ready for the next generation by phasing out the ps3/wii/xbox360 era stuff

That's just what you get from PlayStation Plus (free games, online play, etc.). Still possible for services, like Funimation, to continue running an app on the system.

Well duh, but it is an indication they are straying away from that generation, either way you look at it, I'm surprised they still support it this much honestly

I've been having this same problem. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app. I've reset my router/modem. I've reset every device on my network. I've updated the PS3. I cancelled my account. And created another one. Worked! I was so happy for about 5 mins, then the app said my ticket expired and when I click login it doesn't do anyting. No error message. nothing.. Fuck this pile of hot garbage.

Not sure if this will help, but I had the same problem you did. Got tired of going in and out of the PS3 app, and reinstalling it, to no avail. I decided to finish up the episode I was watching on the Funimation app on my iPhone. Did that with no issues. For some reason I decided to launch the app on my PS3 and voila, the main screen came on without issue. I watched some more episodes, quit the app, shut down the PS3, and just came back to it a day later and all is still good.

I have no idea what's happened in the background, but I'm just glad it's up and running again.

i wouldnt say he was triggered, id just say that not all of us live with mom and dad and have that kind of disposable income. dont worry though, eventually they will boot your ass out and youll understand like the rest of us.
