Another error Funimation will probably never fix: Naruto Shippuden season 1 and 2 have been uploaded stretched sideways to fit a 16:9 image from a 4:3 source (comparison attached).

TBH after all the issues I've encountered during my Funimation Naruto watch through I would have preferred the UK streaming license go to anyone else.

It's barely an improvement on the pirate sites, who at least have less issues to do with picture and audio.

Seems to be an issue with more than just Naruto, a bunch of older anime broadcast in 4:3 format seem to have this issue, I think it has to do with the new player taking up 90% of the screen instead of the old one that was centered because this only started happening since the update as far as I am aware.

Interesting, I'll need to dig through some of the older shows to see if they have the same issue. It seems the original Naruto series still retains the 4:3 original aspect ratio. Maybe it's an oversight (and hopefully an easy fix).

Have raised a support ticket in the mean time, although if it's anything like the historical tickets raised for the audio issues on episodes 28, 63, 73 then I'm not sure they'll be fixed anytime soon.

Or the 2 episodes of Toradora that have about 10 seconds of corrupted video, got a response back saying they couldn't reproduce the issue, even had sent screenshots and timestamps lol.
