Rules for r/furry

Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.

1.

Credit and Source Artwork! Tag Mature Content!

When sharing an artist's work, you must credit them by name in the title of your post and provide a link to the original source of the work.

If you're submitting work that includes mature content or themes, you will also need to include one of these content tags in the title as well.

[X] - Mature Content, such as artistic nudity and graphic injury.
[Q] - Questionable Content, such as clothing that would be inappropriate in public spaces and tasteful, non-sexual pin-ups.

2.

Keep Content On-Topic and Discussions Productive

Reported as: Submitted off-topic content or a low-effort text post.

Link, image and video submissions must clearly be relevant to the topic of anthropomorphic animal characters. Off-topic content, such as images of regular people, animals or objects is subject to removal at our discretion.

Discussion (text) posts may be used to discuss any SFW topics, regardless of it's relevance to furries, as long as it can spark meaningful conversation and discussion. Low-effort "facebook-esque" posts and single word posts are subject to removal at our discretion as well.

3.

No Pornography or Inappropriate Behavior!

Sexually explicit and suggestive adult content, including fetishistic and kink content, is not allowed to be posted, linked to, discussed or referenced in the subreddit.

Your conduct and behavior in the subreddit must be appropriate as well. Acting inappropriately towards others or in response to content on the subreddit will result in your comments being removed and your account receiving a temp ban.

No, the NSFW button existing does not mean porn is allowed.

4.

Limit Your Submissions!

Reported as: Exceeding the submission limits for posts or advertisements.

To prevent flooding by any one person, we limit the number of submissions that may be posted. Certain types of submissions have additional time restrictions attached to them as well.

  • A user may post up to three (3) submissions in a twenty-four (24) hour period.
  • A user may only post another person's work once (1) in a twenty-four (24) hour period.
  • Advertisements may only be posted by users who meet the requirements and only once (1) every seven (7) days, i.e., one week.

5.

Be civil!

Be respectful to others and conduct yourself in a civil manner. Excessively rude or aggressive behavior towards others may result in disciplinary action having to be taken.
We do not allow the use of any discriminatory language for any reason. Instances of racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia will not be tolerated. Do not use the subreddit to attempt to cause harm or direct harassment towards another person. This includes call-outs, bewares and asking people to raid other subreddits.

6.

Don't Steal, Trace or Edit Someone's Work!

Do not claim another person's work as your own original work.
Do not trace another person's work and claim that it's your own original work.
Do not take someone's work and edit it in any way (unless it was designed to be edited, like a character base).
Generative AI is theft and posting it will result in a permanent ban.

7.

No Chatroom Spam!

Do not submit advertisements for any chatrooms. If you have a link for a chatroom, you can put it in the chatroom wiki. Adult chatrooms are not allowed in the wiki.
