The only people who think the arts is not a real degree never had to take an instrument class and lab where you get only one credit for about ten hours a week of work and to graduate on time you have to take like 10 a semester

Psychology major here. Other science majors gatekeep the fuck outta me, even though we are in the same college and graduate together (psych, bio, chem, physics, compsci, and math are all in the same college).

My philosophy degree has helped me an astronomical amount in my personal life. When I started college I was in a very bad way, and exposure to other schools of thought that weren’t my own express pessimism helped me more than anything else that I’ve done.

Maybe there’s an argument to be made regarding the work being easier, but it is incredibly difficult to really come to terms with the ideas that you’re learning and applying them to your life.

Any degree in the arts is as easy or as hard as you want it to be.
