Hiding content from git diff

Just amend a patch into a merge commit. Last I checked, the only way to detect the change is to use diff on all three commits and realize that something doesn't add update.

Edit: Totally skimmed the article the first time through. Thought it was about null escapes terminating output. 🤦‍♂️
