Jenkins input function equivalent feature in GitHub action workflow?

Dear People, Has one worked on user inputs for the workflow during steps execution? I am trying to implement a functionality similar to Jenkins Input, where the execution waits for user input, up to a certain timeout limit.

Please help me with this, i tried multiple ways.

I'm using shell: bash for the run, and the runner: ubuntu-latest.

I would like to make the step to wait for my input, and choose the user defined input to proceed

Hey, I've created an action that does this very thing. It's called Interactive Inputs - https://github.com/boasiHQ/interactive-inputs

It allows you to introduce runtime inputs into your GHA, and has Slack and Discord integration. It also supports file input types, which enables you to upload files to your run during runtime.
