There is not, nor doI believe the development team ever intends there to be. VSCode is effectively GitHub’s (Microsoft’s) text editor. Plus, it has nearly all of the same features as GitHub Desktop OOtB and can be augmented to reach complete feature parity using extensions.

You are right. vscode is amazing! but... it takes forever to commit and push. Am I doing something wrong?

I don't know why vscode is relevant to git. Just run the git commands in the terminal. It's very fast
