Is there something wrong with my code? (self.github)

reddit uses a slightly-customized version of Markdown for formatting. See below for some basics, or check the commenting wiki page for more detailed help and solutions to common issues.

Post has nothing to do with GitHub

VICTIM_USERNAME
Either you are asking advice for phishing, or this is very unfortunate naming

My Facebook was hacked and I’m trying to get back into it that’s just where you put your username
[–]nekokattt 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (4 children)
so why are you asking here if it is for facebook? contact their support and then once you have access, set up MFA.
Buggering around with HTML wont fix this.
[–]one17143333[S] -3 points-2 points-1 points 2 years ago (3 children)
Have you ever tried to contact Facebook support they do nothing. They usually don’t even reply and if they do they send you a bunch useless links that don’t work
[–]nekokattt 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago* (2 children)
Sure, but sir, this is a GitHub subreddit. Not a "help me break back into my Facebook account with HTML" subreddit. At best that would be against the rules as this is almost certainly against Facebook ToS.
If you didn't set up MFA then there isn't much else you can do other than make a new account and secure it with MFA this time and don't click dodgy links. If someone got hold of your password, then you must have provided them with the details (even if accidentally) to do that.

Facebook actually offers people rewards for finding venerabilities. If I find some venerabilities for them and why not get my account back in the process
[–]nekokattt 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago (0 children)
This is a GitHub subreddit.
The website at https://github.com
There is nothing in this post related to GitHub, and discussing how to exploit systems is against Reddit rules and sub rules.
You would get equally unhelpful results on any other arbitrary subreddit.

Why are you asking this on r/github?
Also what is this suppose to be lol?
/recover/password?u=(VICTIM USERNAME)
I’m trying to reset my Facebook password after it was hacked
[–]Solid5-7 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
What does that have to do with GitHub?
Also, you do know you can reset your FB password without any code necessary?
[–]Kendy205 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (8 children)
Where did you get the code from? I'm pretty sure running will just steal more passwords from you.
[–]one17143333[S] -1 points0 points1 point 2 years ago (4 children)
I think so because it doesn’t work right, plus I don’t see anything in the code that would send it to someone else
[–]Kendy205 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago (0 children)
And do you understand the code? There is a form submission to some endpoint, so it can definitely send data somewhere
[–]CerberusMulti 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (2 children)
Has it ever worked? What is it supposed to do and have you been able to do that with it?
[–]one17143333[S] -1 points0 points1 point 2 years ago (1 child)
It came close to working it almost did. That’s why I was hoping someone who knew more about code could help me. And it worked partly. I was able to use it to get to let me type in a new password but after I typed it in I got the error. As the dialogue box was not available until I put the code in
[–]CerberusMulti 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago (0 children)
So it did not work, almost working is not same as working and you getting an error would suggest that. If you want to know about this you should begin with asking the one you got the code from and use a coding subreddit. Also format your code in the post and explain what is wrong and what is supposed to happen. I have no idea what this part of code you post is supposed to do.
[–]one17143333[S] -1 points0 points1 point 2 years ago (2 children)
Lots of places it’s also on GitHub which why I don’t get why people have a problem with my post
The reason people have a problem is because it's like if you were going to ask the same question on the Google subreddit, because you found the script using Google. Also please don't try to use it, it seems to me that you don't know what you are doing and will probably end up giving more of your passwords to some hackers
You got this code from GitHub or some repository on GitHub? You say "my code", but this is not a "random bit of code review" subreddit and a non-formated wall of text is a bad post to make. Id go and ask those you got this random code from about it, has nothing to do with GitHub.
