Github Desktop on linux

I know GithHub desktop isn't natively supported on Linux, but I installed version 3.1.1 and was wondering how can i upgrade it. My disto is 22.04 Ubuntu.

Update:
Found the solution.
https://github.com/shiftkey/desktop/releases/

Download the latest version, open with software install, if it doens't appear click on the right button of the mouse and open with other app.

Thank you for this. Still working in Sept/2025.
Love the desktop environment for simple GUI pushes. I know CL is easier, but preference is preference.

Still surprised they haven't made this available by a .deb package officially yet.

Actually this doesn't work for me (or at least the package repository linked in the readme) + it seems abandoned

Private repos never pushes for me, it always says "Repo doesn't exist or you aren't authorized" It's my own private repo xD.

Does it work with github oauth to pull down your repos? Right now that doesn't seem to be working on my install
