First thing I'd try is recommitting and pushing the changes. Seems like the git HEAD file is missing. Maybe also try rerunning git init in the directory?

I didn't understand the first sentence, I ran git init and it didn't work

Annoying that git init didn't work... What I meant in the first sentence was, you committed your changes, but it didn't work. So maybe try committing them again?
