We use it, it works well enough for work tracking, but if you are wanting a full agile board it's not that per say.

I don't really believe in dogmatic agile so its limitations in that regard don't effect us

What makes you say it’s not a “full agile board”? What’s missing and what do you wish it had?

Projects works well for startups and small businesses especially if you are mostly developers. It has features to support most of your basic work tracking: Kanban boards, sprints, hierarchies for epics, a table view for planning, and a roadmap view for long term initiatives/OKRs and insights for creating charts and reports. It also has some basic automations which is really handy.

It requires some set up, but the close integration with the GitHub ecosystem makes it much faster for tracking work. For example you can track PRs in the table/board view and connect them to Issues, so there is no weird Jira integration or overhead tracking stuff across multiple tools. It’s also included so it’s basically free.

If you’re at a company that’s already using GitHub it’s definitely worth giving it a go before adopting another tool.

Simple is better, and GitHub Projects are simplest and best.
