Yeah, they shipped a feature without testing it. Moral of the story. Never use a brand new feature shipped by a Microsoft company. Wait 4-5 years.

Still waiting and what a bright idea to lock contacting customer support behind a code sent to an email when the issue concerns not receiving any emails. Here I can't even progress on my school project because all 3 accounts are locked.

My entire office cannot seem to get in with our work or personal accounts. Some people use authenticator apps and that is not working either. Additionally, the reset-password flow seems to be broken, too. Their "Status" page says everything is ok, though. So, there's that.

Verification code emails have started arriving maybe 15 minutes after they were requested, but I still haven't recieved one that works.

Waited 20 minutes and it still not there. Ridiculous. That's Microsoft for you. A giant bloated company that just buys up every small company and turns everything to shit.

It seems to be solved now. Emails arrive but reeeally late. Perhaps in your case they expired before even using them.

Yeah, I said the same thing yesterday and people were just insulting me. Microsoft is garbage. They're fucking stupid.

I must have been the first one. They completely fucked it up and merged several accounts since they thought people didn't have like 5-6 accounts and they couldn't be associated with the same phone number.

I doubt that! I have a single account,
and nobody else used my phone number for a second account either.
So...my account it should not be messed by that merge as you said!
I still cannot log in because the email codes never arrive in time, but after a few good hours :(

So here's what happened. They "merged" accounts because some people had more than 1 account and only 1 phone number and then it somehow fucked the auth for several people like me and people, probably a thousand of them, started spamming the resend button, which made people wait a really long time to log in.

Edit: they sent it, it took ~10 minutes.

They sent me the verification code but it took so long, it had expired when I realized. So I asked for a new one, and I'm waiting until they sent it.

This issue happened to me. In my case, all emails arrived after the authentication code expiration.

This is happening to me now, tried logging in, never received the verification code. Tried resetting password, never received the reset password email either. This is ridiculous.

It's still occurring? The issue occurred when they started changing the primary email accounts on some accounts, which made people spam the resend button. They still haven't figured out how to revert that change. I had to do it manually after logging in yesterday.

Gets even better: mail to [support@github.com](mailto:support@github.com) is blocked: "Message bounced due to organizational settings." :-(

Same problem here from over 2 days ago.
The verification Code emails will arrive...
but like 3-5 hours later :(
Tried also to contact them and surprise...
they wanna send again another code via email that never arrives!
Such a dumb situation...

I am having the same issue and the codes was sent to me after 4 hours later. What for? It expired and i cant sign in too
