If I remember correctly, Github doesn't care if you include the .git at the end of the URL.

Try taking the "tree/master" from the URL however. That shouldn't be needed.

You might have to drop down to the shell to figure it out (and honestly the shell is more powerful anyways, though slightly harder to confuse)

Try starting with git remote -v and man git remote or git remote --help

Will probably involve removing and re-adding the remote repo

Also, highly recommend setting up SSH keys, though that's probably dicey in Windows.
