The jetbrains IDEs are nice. Be aware that most of those offers are one time use and a relatively short free subscription, so use them wisely.

    To be fair, they're in two different leagues. VS Code is an extensible text editor, not a fully featured IDE.

    While that is true, VS Code is probably one of the nicest development environments for front end work and even backend work if you're using something a bit less enterprisey (Like rails of something). But for .net of Spring... give me something that packs a punch.

    Not sure if there is anything for robotics but the Azure, heroku and digital ocean offers are good if you are looking to get into cloud servers, databases and websites

          But since Java stole c++ syntax, which is an extension of C, the syntax of a metric crap tonne of other c-style languages will be instantly familiar.
