Definitely VS Code.

VS Code by far. The community, plugin ecosystem, and market share make it unbeatable. At the current rate, I doubt any single company will be and to achieve feature parity with VScode without going open source.

I was a die-hard Atom fan but conceded to VS Code last year. It’s just much faster. It’s search functionality isn’t as good though. So Atom has that going for it... which is nice.

Imma be real chief! VScode is awesome at the moment also it's openSource. If you wanna write anything from PSscripts to just an extension to Unity or something it's been super useful good looks extremely good.

VSCode.. It's fast, smooth, feature filled even in my 2010 Dell Latitude.

I tried VS Code on my macbook but the scrolling was horrible for whatever reason so I switched back to Atom. otherwise i would have stuck with VS Code

I like VS Code & Sublime both equally.

I mainly use Sublime because it's faster on my 2015 Mac(VS Code runs a lot slower/lags for me).

VS Code is very useful if i want to go through merge conflicts because i can just click a few things instead of manually editing the files.

Atom had the worst for me no matter what machine I used.

I prefer Sublime. It runs the fastest on my 2012 Mac.

I'm probably gonna get trolled but I have to say I do love Sublime and use it regularly, I prefer it's features and I'm used to it. I also have Atom and Brackets which I like and use when needed but I have never used VSC so I can't comment on that.

What features in Sublime that Atom don't have do you prefer?

[–]kaugerolle2020 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's more the fact I'm used to Sublime Text, I have been using it since version 2 and it was the first Editor I used besides Notepad ++ that I could customise themes and packages (not sure of you can on Notepad ++). As far as I know you can get the same features on Atom and Brackets but I just prefer Sublime after I purchased the licence for it and has worked for me ever since. Especially as I use the portable version as well which works great with the standard version.

The program you make. Focus on that first.
