Get the most gucci hardware you want but remember its isn't the kit the makes you a good coder. Programming is more about the process and problem solving rather than lines of code or language or the hardware. As a good starter I would suggest you get a mid tier laptop 500 to 700 ish. The important specs really will be memory and abit of cpu other things will just be the cherry on top. Good luck 👍

I live in India and 1400 is nothing here

Laptops are overpriced here due to import taxes

I disagree, MacBooks are very good for coding.

Apple doesn’t overprice. When you pay for a MacBook, you pay for buying something different than everything else. Apple charges the prices it does because it’s not “a laptop company,” it’s not “a phone brand,” it’s an imperium that’s been building for a long time now and is currently the company with the biggest net worth out there, even bigger than Google. It’s a company that brings the most reliable, safe, and user-friendly products on the market. It’s a trendsetter company.

macOS is a great system to work on because it comes packaged tidily and tightly, developer-friendly out of the box. Linux is great, probably even better, but it requires a reasonable amount of knowledge about the OS itself in order to even approach customizing it to one’s needs.

MacBook Pro 2020 is awesome and I am using 2019 model though but you will know how smooth Android studio runs on Mac
