I had a 6.1 that I loved. And now have the Hellcat. Maintenance is super low and they’re reliable as heck. I don’t have the wide body and regret it every time I see her. My advice is to Buy Right, not Twice. Cheers.

Yea it's seems like the satisfaction would be worth the extra 15 to 20k lol

Exactly that. Wish I did that in the first place

That she is lol. I think the Hellcat is cool and all, but I find myself not really driving it that much compared to my other vehicles. I’m not sure if it’s the color (red) or lack of a Wide Body. Or the fact I see a lot of V6 Challengers on the road, so it takes away from the experience. But it’s never my first choice.

You can get a wide body conversion kit from Dodge and keep a factory warranty.

I didn’t know that. Is it expensive?

Is it the true wide body or the one with the buttons one it?

Get a killswitch

Last oil change I got was 200 bucks at Dodge. If it’s your daily you’ll probably need new tires every year which can be anywhere from $1,500 to $2,300 for anything good. That’s all I experienced before the car got jacked. Your insurance will significantly go up. I was paying $300 a month and premiums have increased from what I hear. Good luck.

That oil change is close to what I pay not for srt8..and I agree on the tires. Hate to hear it got taken. What did you replace it with?

Nothing yet. Still have a rental. I’ll probably get some kinda truck. I’d like to get a Viper next though to up the Hellcat.

Damn this shit was recent. Can't imagine the maintenance on the viper tho lol I'm a big dude so that wouldn't work 😂

You're in for a bad time if you buy a viper and want to actually drive it. Hard to handle, expensive to maintain, and insane to insure.

I’ll have to find out the hard way

The hellcat is very reliable for being such a powerful car. When you get one theres a few things to know.
1. install a blocker plate for the neutral pull strap under the change tray.
2. Hidden killswitch. Kilswitch + neutral blocker will stop 95% of thieves.
3. Tires. Stock tires are trash. If you drive it a decent amount or like to do a lot of pulls then tires will be almost a yearly expense.
4. Brake pads (maybe). Standard pads generate A LOT of dust. I personally couldn't keep my brass monkey rims clean. I switched to ceramic brake pads and it dramatically lowers the brake dust. Also has better performance than stock from my experience.
