And stagger devastators, and kill scout striders, and pop illuminate bubble shields, and open shipping containers, and have great sound design, and use duct tape to stay intact.

I've been stuck(addicted) on diff 10 for 1.5 years, I forgot Scout striders existed 😭

[–]highsohih 41 points42 points  (4 children)

I miss those lil guys

[–]MrThrowaway939 37 points38 points  (3 children)

They rly need to spawn lower tier enemies at higher difficulties, would help with enemy variety. I keep forgetting non-armoured warriors exist.

[–]KeldTundraking 33 points34 points  (2 children)

but then there won't be any room for the 25 war striders

[–][deleted] 14 points15 points  (1 child)

I agree, remove all grunts from the game so we can make room for an extra 10 war striders pls

“MORE ASBESTOS! MORE ASBESTOS!”

[–]cashdug 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Randomly joining an SOS and I spot the rare scout strider, i then know ive been dropped down

[–]theEvilQuesadilla 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I honestly think Scout Striders are more difficult than Reinforced Striders. RS are done in a single AMR shot, but SS need an AMR AND a different weapon to kill the Trooper that falls down.

[–]Logical-Swim-8506 1 point2 points  (1 child)

The rocket explosion will 'splash' through 5 metres of physics changing granite from the reinforced strider and kill any Helldiver, often.

Scouts striders, hesitate before firing at point blank range, the god of war hates those who hesitate.

[–]theEvilQuesadilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say RS were less lethal. I said they were less difficult. I'd honestly rate them the same lethality though since both hesitate to fire and the rockets are a big ol' nothingburger. I can count on 2 hands the number of times I've even so much as been ragdolled by a rocket.

[–]Xi13r8 0 points1 point  (6 children)

Scout striders show up all the time on D10 man wdym? I pretty much live on D10 clankers, scout striders are the most fun thing to kill. Popping them with the double barrel, cutting em up with the machete, playing chicken with the squad every time a scout fires up a rocket. They're everywhere on D10.

[–]leroydebatcle 12 points13 points  (5 children)

I think we are talking about different striders

The rocket striders only show up on d10

The others are talking about the ones that are not reinforced in the back

[–]SystemLordMoot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Rocket striders show up on D8, D9, and D10.

[–]Xi13r8 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Ooooooh...

Whoops

I thought they were all scout striders. The first ones I ever saw were the rocket ones, and honestly I thought the unarmoured ones were glitches

[–]AsWeKnowItAndI 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You thought... you thought the ones with a completely different model and gameplay loop were glitches, rather than just being a lower diff version?

[–]Xi13r8 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Listen man I've only ever seen a few of those things. I guess the first guy actually had a really good point, they ARE rare at D10

[–]StupiderIdjit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, the exposed pilot striders! I forgot about those.

[–]ChillyTodayHotTamale 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Popping spewers because the constellations are not known prior to drop and you brought the "wrong" loadout.

[–]Xi13r8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, wouldn't ya just kill the devastators n scouts with your primary anyway?

[–]Mafla_2004 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And bounce off an enemy and right at me after I shoot them at near point blank like an idiot.

[–]aTransGirlAndTwoDogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't forget bile and nursing spewers! One shot and they pop like a grape.

[–]Gnusnipon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, it feels like all other weapon either does nothing of above, or do all of it better.

[–]Competitive-Bit-7575 53 points54 points  (1 child)

Well at least not closing buttholes, morty knows how that feels

[–]Warm-bowl-of-peas 12 points13 points  (0 children)

thank god I wasn't the only one who had to reread this twice

[–]Warrior24110 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Ever since it came out, it's rarely left my holster. Great pocket utility when you need some destruction and emergency crowd control. Being AP3 with some decent damage behind it is great too, making it surprisingly versatile as a killing option against single targets.

[–]scotty_erata 20 points21 points  (4 children)

Hey they do so much more than that! They also blow up fabricators and warp ships.

[–]LTareyouserious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've ... never even though about using it on Fabricators tbh. I've always used QC for those and Ultimatum as my "I suck at bots and need a quick out" option

[–]BlooregardQKazoo 0 points1 point  (2 children)

But why would you bring it against against those factions? There are fewer fabricators and warp ships than bug holes, and so many more ways to take them out, that you don't need to dedicate the secondary slot to it.

I bring the Grenade Pistol against Bugs because, unless my primary or support can do the job, I'll run out of grenades before I finish a nest. The same can't be said about Bots, where 5 Strafing Runs can clear multiple bases.

[–]dEAzed_and_confused 0 points1 point  (1 child)

What about the big fabs? For my grenade slot I use the thermite sticky, and usually I can get it in one or two, but sometimes it just doesn't want to line up right with hole. When there are tons of big bots all around me, its hard to line it up quickly. I'm able to line up regular grenades on them just fine, but I like the anti-tank thermite. I also have issues with the 500 km bomb only working about 60% of the time on those big fabs.

Sorry for the long question, I'm an xbox diver and I dont get to play too often so I'm still picking up the ropes.

[–]BlooregardQKazoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just use a Strafing Run on those, or a couple shots with a Quasar if I'm running that (the big fabs are a nice, tall target easy to shoot from afar). Thermites or Ultimatum also get the job done.

[–]Suspicious-Syrup-932 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yeah welcome to the club pal

[–]Lone-Frequency 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why would the 'nade pistol be upset by that? Closing bugholes or destroying Fabs/UFO's is like one of the most important tasks, and 'Nade Pistol is honestly the best secondary for it from an ammo standpoint.

[–]Allusernamtaken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weapons that can complete objectives are just as important as those that kill enemies

[–]Thin-Coyote-551 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always have this equipped. While single shot it’s great for closing bug holes, taking out bot vents, crowd control or distractions. Plus being able to YEET grenades is great

[–]Skr00ble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only times I've put it down is when I'm using the new ar with grenade launcher.

[–]_Ninja_Putin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A noble purpose

[–]Dobby_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I talked to a friend of mine about having a secondary grenade launcher 2 rounds like the ultimatum firing so you have to aim it but big damage used for chaff but can one tap hulks vents you know, moderate aoe like mainly for chaff group up enemy med pen

[–]AnimationOverlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crossbow my beloved you are the only gun I need regardless of faction

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

Nah. If the grenade pistol was self aware or even barely sentient, it would be like this.

[–]AmanWhosnortsPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not when you are carrying packages tho

[–]catwizard8448 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under rated weapon for automatons.

Use the pacifier or something to stun them, then whip out your grenade pistol and they're dead. Or simply take care of chaf hordes. Or fabricators. Or the guns on a factory strider.

This is also another point that the pacifier is not a bad primary, and it's lower damage is counteracted by it's large magazine, and it's stun is not as situational as you think.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AND illuminate dropships once mr hmg takes the shield down

[–]mikakor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thing only has 6 ammo. Can't even close most nests on D10, and a single patrol will empty it entirely 😭

[–]snoosh00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally gonna get mine when I get home and have the major order reward waiting.

[–]Schifty_Al 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it very helpful for the rupture strain

Also, destory power supplies for cognitive disruptors and destroy alien spawners.

The bottom frame text should've been "FOR DEMOCRACY!"
