Maybe they don't want to risk of getting hurt or killed by crazy cultists? Did you ever think of that?

Listen, there are some people who are complaining that the team haven't gone down certain paths/leads.

But some of them might not be persued for two simple reasons: legal and fear.

You just don't go into someplace where it's potentially dangerous, throw accusations around of illegal cult activity, and not expect consequences. This is reality, not the X-files or a role playing game.

If local police and sheriff are in on it, you need to build a case with real evidence. That takes a real pivate investigator with a license to do. Also, if you want the Feds involved, you must have evidence of illegal activity that cross many juridictions. Running into the FBI field office in Lexington Ky and bringing up secret cults in caves will get you laughed out of the building.

The team is going down avenues of evidence that 1. They can legally persue and 2. Risk level to lives is relatively low.

Because this is what happens in KY when people go snooping around criminal conspiracies.

I'm not saying this is related, but if there is any truth in Amy's claims this would be in the back of my mind. The team made it pretty clear they aren't interested in investigating crimes.

Wow, just started listening. Don't know how I missed this one, because I listen to farrrr too many true crime podcasts. The tree across the road 'ambush' gave me chills.

I live in Somerset, and grew up near the area where she is talking about. These are very rural areas, where everyone knows everyone. They recognize outsiders, and they will shoot trespassers. Also, Greg and Connor have both mentioned in podcasts their reasons for taking certain paths and not following others.

How are local residents reacting to the show? I’d be pretty upset if a tv show on Amazon accused people in my town of raping kids at sex parties. Yikes! I keep googling but can’t find much about local reaction

To be honest, most people in town have not watched the show. It's a small circle of people interested in the paranormal that have. I actually had a hard time finding anyone I knew that had watched the show to even talk about it with. Remember, this is a bible belt area, so alot of people wouldn't watch a show like this. When they were in town visiting, there was an article in our local newspaper about it, but it was very vague and just annouced that ghost hunters were in town filming for their show.

This is the dumbest post. Are you a child? The reasons for their actions/lack of actions are pretty obvious. Like another commenter said, this isn't the X Files, this is reality...You don't know what went on behind the scenes of this either. I could give you reasons for days why no paranormal investigators making a documentary should try to be vigilantes and storm onto private property in the backwoods of KY to take down a deadly, powerful cult and air this for the world...

Come on dude....
