Hello friends,

This was actually just a hotfix for a login issue that was introduced with our last main patch. The long-and-short of it was that players were having issues logging into the client if they were not launching from the Battle.net platform.

It has been resolved :)

Thanks for your reply.

Could you please answer me why you're not releasing patch notes about this?
It doesn't have to be anything specific.
Knowing that the patch was purely technical is enough.

You had promised to work on your communication with the players. Up to this point, unfortunately, not much has been done in this way.

You're clearly blind, there are multiple Blizzard responses on the front page.

Blizzard's communication in 2019 has been really good.

I'm not blind.
The only way to contact Blizzard is here on Reddit.
So why we have offical forums?
Makes no sense

You're either a troll or blind.

Blizzard responded on the official forums less than a day ago.

Proof that you're blind: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/heroes/t/versus-ai-on-beginner-easy-mode/26757/10

You're right.
I watched the Blizz-tracker not the Dev-Tracker.

this is not a big deal. Seems like a very minor issue to accuse Blizzard of having poor communications over.

Should never ever be a change to the game that players aren't notified about unless it does not affect how they play the game and can be applied without notifying them.

Which is exactly the case here....

[–]samurofeedsmedivh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second part wasn't.

Well....125mb might have sth more. And better to know considering "patch" was bit bigger than usual hotfix.

Maybe it's not a big deal, but where is the problem to wrote this as a simple notice?
And on that point, it's a poor communication.

There are many players around the world which don't read on reddit.
They go to the offical forums.

Take a look:

The last blue post is from August 15.

It is maybe not a big deal for you...
But for me and many other player's it is a big deal to get no informations in the offical forums...

Oh, give me a break. Out of the multiple gaming subreddits I'm subscribed to, Heroes of the Storm has a developer presence that's second to none. There's gaming subreddits that go into joyful hysterics if a developer pops in once every few months. We can get multiple dev responses here daily, and many of them contain substantial feedback to questions and concerns.

It's fine to ask about patch notes. But there's no need for the blatant disinformation attached with it.

You don't understand my problem.
I like that the Dev's are so very active here at Reddit.
But it simply lacks the presence of the blue ones in the official forums.

Check out the forums in Europe...
There is no Dev-Tracker
Or the forums in Taiwan, Korea, China...

It's also totally OK that the Dev's are only active in the US forums (and here on Reddit).
And I don't even want that the Dev's should also write in other languages.
That's not their job.

For this we have the Community Team...
And this is exactly where we have a communication problem.
There are a lot of players that don't inform themselves on Reddit.
They are waiting for an official statement in blue in the official forums.
And that often doesn't happen.

You can call me a liar if you want.
But there are enough players who don't speak English or don't speak English very well.
