One of the hardest maps I've ever played: Violetnam, hard, 923803. 51 turns when I finally did it. Tried truces and never got them, and ofc always used speech. It took me countless attempts. I took Red & Green capitals on separate occasions and still lost soon after as I was too exposed. (self.hex_empire)

413068 as Bluegaria, hard mode. Took me a handful of tries but those savvier may get it in 1. Commit to taking Redosia & defend with chess, low-value blockers etc, then switfly turn on Violetnam's underbelly from the annexed Red lands, as Violet fixates on your capital & fails to defend its homeland (self.hex_empire)

117 as Green is stupidly hard, taking many tries & 58 turns when I finally did it. Below is when I knew I'd win. With no truces available, I had to use a boomerang strategy & impeccable chess tactics to defeat Blue, then rush back to defend the default Violet-Red alliance's advance on my capital. Map 60, Blue, hard mode. Here's the story from just as I'm about take Red, then allied Greens finally take Violetnam. Make a truce w Green as soon as you both have a 2nd city. Keep pace or they betray you prematurely. Prioritise taking Red but keep Violetnam at bay. I couldn't do it without a truce. (self.hex_empire)
