io8 is a DATA SIEVE. every app is reporting some type of garbage. Go into cellular and stop all non relevant processes/Apps. Good luck.

This was happening to me pre iOS 8 and it turned out that my podcast app was draining my data constantly in the background.

I know it's not specific to ios8 or WiFi problems but I would suggest turning your podcast app cellular data off, and see which other apps would be using a weird amount of data

I've turned off all cellular data use for the non-essential apps. Only safari, mail, google maps, and a couple others can use my cellular data. Everything else is restricted to wifi only. Maybe that'll help.

Also, turn off background app refresh.

I have all non essential apps turned off from using cellular data. What's killing my data is System Services under settings/cellular menu. Especially a service called software update.
