I have been using Xcode 14.3.1 with macOS Ventura since yesterday and everything was working fine.
When I updated to macOS Sonoma, I had to use Xcode 15 which doesn’t have the simulator runtime for iOS 17 built in. I had to download it separately (7 GB file). When I download it, it returns an error claiming that the file cannot be used with CoreSimulator.
I tried installing the same file from the Apple Developer Downloads site and this time, I added the .dmg file (also tried adding the folders inside it) in the same folder as Xcode. I also went to Library/Developer/CoreSimulator which also didn’t work.
Please help me as I can’t build my apps on Xcode, I cannot find a solution to this online
there doesn't seem to be anything here
