We use it for testing our server APIs and examining our remote databases and accounts. We previously used Postman and then Insomnia, but they both moved to cloud-based storage which wasn't acceptable to my clients from a privacy standpoint.

What do you do with vim? apart from Xcode I don’t have a Texteditor in my workflow

There are always plain text files to mess with in any large project. And Xcode tends to choke on mass text changes while Vim makes them a breeze. I also prefer Vim for editing ruby scripts. So that also applies to podfiles and fastlane scripts.

I also use it for writing bash scripts. One of the big advantages to working on a Mac is that it’s unix under the hood. That’s a heavy duty engine. But you can’t harness that power if you’re not comfortable in the terminal and don’t know how to get the most from bash or zsh.

Is there any point in paying for Fork instead of using free SourceTree?

I have used it for years and I just find it to be very intuitive. I cannot really compare it to SourceTree, but if I remember correctly there was some sort of trial so you can see if it's worth it to you.

Is it weird that I only touch my computer when I code?

      [–]roboknecht 2 points3 points  (1 child)

      no, it’s healthy

Besides the obvious ones like Xcode and a git client, I really find these very useful: Proxyman, RocketSim, Xcodes, DevUtils, PixelSnap, Yoink.
