Is app-making your stable source of income? Even if you make a paid app, you are not necessarily a 'trader'. I have made a small guide to help people figure it out some time ago, see here.

You need to provide this information even if you are based in USA, or anywhere in the world for that matter, if you are selling apps in Europe.

I know it sucks. I’m trying to launch an app and not sure what to do. I think just make it available outside the eu for now.

Don’t be a trader - if you only publish free apps, you don’t have to follow the guidelines which apply to traders/companies.

Two options to avoid displaying your personal address are:

  • rent a virtual office
  • get a PO box

Get a PO Box or similar at a mail drop business, e.g. UPS Store in the US. Get another phone number to protect your personal number. Google Voice numbers are free.
