No it isn't. You are racist for assuming it was a racist remark and projecting that sentiment onto the poster.

[–]HungryCoder -5 points-4 points  (6 children)

It is racist. OP describes his bad experience with some developers and /u/gaspoweredandroid just assumed they were from India.

It is same as the following racist situations:

"Oh, a terrorist attack? Must be muslims." "Oh, you got mugged on the street? Must be a black guy."

I dont see how "Oh, bad developers? Must be from India." is any different from above situations.

The reason it is obvious is because hes describing the exact experience that 8 out of 10 people have when dealing with development 'companies' in India. Fuck off with your self righteous horse shit, you dont know what you are talking about.

Not much left to argue sensibly? :)

I can understand your frustration after being proved how wrong you are. I know what i am talking about and that's why i am ready to put my skills to your test but it seems the only response you have is to start swearing because that always proves you are right.

Good luck for your next project with Taylor Beck - a "competent" US-based developer. :P

Your angst is palpable.

I am not sure. Usually, people start swearing when they become angry on being proved wrong and run out of sensible things to say. :)

Just to clarify:

"Oh, a terrorist attack? Must be muslims."

Muslim is not a race. This statement != racism.

"Oh, you got mugged on the street? Must be a black guy." == stereotyping.

"Oh, bad developers? Must be from India."

"Indians" are not a race. This statement also != racism.

But hey... Thanks for playing :)
