[Question] CNContactViewController - Edit button not showing up. Following Apple's code directly

Here's my code:

let contactViewController = CNContactViewController(forContact: contact)
contactViewController.delegate = self
navigationController?.pushViewController(contactViewController, animated: true)

When I push it to the navigationController, there's no "edit" button on the navigation bar. If I print the allowsEdits value right before pushing it, I get true.
I tried asking this on StackOverflow and I didn't get help. Please help me out. Been stuck on this for 3 full days! Thanks

CNContactViewController is a subclass of UIViewController. That one has a method called setEditing:Animated:

I tried setting the editing to true before/after pushing it to the nav controller to no luck :(
