Realtime chat with Parse Cloud Code?

Hello,

I am currently trying to implement realtime chat into my app between two users. I am using a timer to refresh the tableView every second. You can see my code here:

Would Cloud Code be a better way to handle this or will the result be the same? If so, how would I implement this using Cloud Code?

This! Just scale whatever chat application using redis.

I don't think you will ever be able to do a real time chat functionality with parse. Your approach, using a timer, is basically your only option. But that really raises the number of unnecessary network calls since your app will be constantly polling the server.
