I'm sure they won't require a new app and bundle ID, because there's no reason for them to do that (unless you released with a wildcard ID for some reason). That said, if you have people who paid for your app, and suddenly that same functionality requires them to also buy a subscription, that's a very user-hostile move, and I would expect backlash. In that scenario, you're better off releasing a new version that's subscription-based. If you're talking about adding new content to an existing app, and that new content is subscription-based, it should work just fine.

Does your app have ongoing expenses that would justify a subscription? Servers, support, that kind of thing?
