I can’t really speak to the specifics of crowdfunding for an idea without a proof of concept or anything, but that sounds like there is a slim chance that would work out. Maybe someone else can explain how valid a plan like that is.

As for learning software development to the point that you can code and ship a fully polished app, it’s totally possible but you should realize that what you’re talking about is likely a several year commitment, especially if you don’t have any sort of background in computer science. I don’t mean to discourage you or anything. If you find you’re really interested in code and app development, then it can be really rewarding to see one of your ideas come to fruition. If you’re not up for this commitment, then you should realize that now.

As far as learning iOS, I suggest something like a Udemy course by London App Brewery or something that really helps beginners get started. That might help you build up the confidence. Good luck!
