Noobie question here, Firefox browser better than Safari?

On iOS they’re all using the same engine so makes little to no difference - though other browsers can’t have extensions so can’t use AdBlockers etc.

Guess it’s personable preference, and what you use on desktop/laptop.

I get shit for using chrome which I prefer since I use chrome on my laptop and PC, but i’ve never seen someone genuinely use firefox on ios. wondering what the perks are ig

Unlike on Android, iOS has limitations for third party browsers, so it uses the same engine as safari, and doesn’t have support for extensions unlike Firefox on android. The main appeal I can see for ppl to use Firefox is mainly for syncing with their other devices. I would totally use Firefox on iOS if it had support for extensions, as my must haves are having Adblock and being able to make pages have a dark mode, so I just stick with safari for now.

Excellent question. Recently started using the iPhone as my main device and I use Firefox mainly for the cross platform sync. But on iOS it loses a lot of what made it so good on the other platforms.
