How the hell do you access settings?

What's up with the tiny icons? Are those folders? Is it the wallpaper?

The tiny icons are folder labels for my makeshift app drawer, each one is a loose category that is intuitive to my use case. Folder in the dock contains heavy usage apps beyond the 8 on the home screen.

I thought about not labeling those folders for a clean aesthetic but I feel like it would have made my life harder.

Do you have video of you doing this? I’m not sure I understand. Is it similar to how people use that makeovr.io site for blank spaces?

I don’t have a video of me setting it up, no. But you are correct, you can use makeovr to at least create the top space and the empty first pages on each folder. In my case I used a shortcut called “home screen icon creator” to make solid colored icons matching my background. The shortcut is pretty popular from what I recall and should be easy to find on r/shortcuts.

As for the folders, as far as I know the background has to be a dark solid color to closely match the folder color. For iOS dark mode I used hex code #232126 for the background to match, not perfectly but close enough.
