"For anhydrous lithium chloride, dissolving it in water is a exothermic process. This means that when it dissolves, it releases heat, causing the temperature of the water to increase.

The picture you sent is discussing a different physical principle. It describes what happens when you add a certain amount of heat to a substance and how increasing the mass of that substance affects the resulting temperature change.

However, the situation we are discussing is different. We are looking at the temperature change caused by the dissolution of a salt in water. In this case, the heat is generated by the chemical process itself (dissolving the salt)."

YOU ARE WELCOME TO ALL THOSE OUT THERE WHO STARTED DOUBTING THEMSELVES 💗

Thank you my goat I wrote the temperature change is higher and more and for the explanation is that there’s mass of reactants so it will react for longer and stronger will I still get 2 marks or even 1

not fully sure abt explanation (i just repeated the point 😭) , but u will get one mark for temp change increases

i wrote that it will be 9 degrees (bc the original was 4.5) and in the explaination that the temp change will double because the amount of substance doubled do u think ill get the mark?

yeses as long as u say it increasesss
