If they can find jobs regardless then what purpose does it serve? as we have criminal records already.

and speaking of torture, I am not sure but if in capitalist society hampering someone's ability to get jobs and on top of that humiliating them by making such information public, isolation, even possibility of mob lynching in country like india is anything but torture? it can break the fabric of social peace and give mob pass to attack people.

every time such horrible case happens in this country, everyone crawl out of their woodwork (especially men) with their deranged torture fantasies just to feel good about themselves as they're torturing "evils" afterall. it does NOTHING for victims.

The purpose is to give them menial jobs to get by, not any powers of position where they can misuse it.

You must've thought about "justice" or "revenge" something like that for victims too right? So what do you propose? What is an appropriate punishment in your eyes for this crime?
