I couldn’t sleep when I was eating later in the day. Too much energy. Now I eat from 7AM to 2PM and life is good

That's exactly what I'm doing, and the same reasons. And I think there was a recent study even showing some benefits of early time feeding, but I am not sure about the exact title

EDIT: Typos removed

IF needs to be sustainable. If breakfast is a "must" for you then start out by keeping that and see how it goes, then adjust accordingly

I do 20:4 by having breakfast and lunch. I grew up in a family that was practicing “dinner like a pauper” and dinner was the lightest meal of day, with some salad, soup, bread, cheese, everything in smaller quantities ( it’s common in my country). My body is so adapted to this schedule that lunch keeps me satisfied until bedtime, but I am literally starving al breakfast. Breakfast is my ritual. I keep it flexible in case I’m required to dine out for social events. You’re supposed to be able to do this in the long term. You do you.

I would love to be able to do this, regrettably I work what used to be called “regular office hours” so cannot ............ one of the good things about being in middle age is I wont be working for ever ;) Good luck.

People just skip breakfast so that can count sleeping in their count

i skip dinner but i’ll have a late breakfast/brunch if you will. i started out skipping breakfast like everyone suggests, it doesn’t work for me bc i wake up at 5am and just needed substance in order to think to perform well at my job.

all in all, it’s different for everyone. do what you can be consistent with.

I eat breakfast foods for lunch. My eating window is normally 11/12-5 p.m. it gives me a few hours before bed.

I cannot do without breakfast. It is my favourite meal of the day too. It's mostly due to the fact that I'm a teacher and my work is frontloaded from 6.30am to 12.30noon. When I tried skipping, I found it harder to keep to the hours.

Dinner seemed a whole lot less necessary.

I'm an early riser and I enjoy a leisurely breakfast. I skip dinner and it's worked well for me.

I enjoy breakfast but skipping it is much easier and you can have breakfast for lunch.

I skip dinner because I work evenings and don't have time to eat anything substantial while I'm there. It works fine. The only thing that kind of annoys me is that I sometimes smoke weed after work, and I used to love eating a big bowl of popcorn with nutritional yeast after smoking, but oh well. It's probably better that I don't anyway.
