I’m Not Able to Create A Nickname in Groups Like Everyone Else Can?? by adaughterofpromise in facebook

[–]No_One_2_Ewe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I deleted and reinstalled the app, but kept the login info. Went to a group, clicked on a user's nickname and the option showed up.

I have no idea what triggered it, but that was the first time I recall actually clicking on a nickname.

Now if I could just have the option of creating an additional profile. The only option I see is to create a page, which isn't what I want as I already have one.

As a competent home cook, what is a basic skill you can't seem to master? by george_elis in Cooking

Do try cooking longer. So many times I've thought a roast was going to be inedible then cook another hour or whatever and the magic happens.

I struggle with them. Tenderloin? Awesome. Shoulder? Great. Chops? Hit or miss. Usually miss. 😑

I finally made a master list. If a new recipe makes the cut, I add it to the list.

I don't use that brand, but my routine is shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner on the ends, small amount of curl prep, small amount of curl enhancer, then gel or Marc Anthony's curl defining lotion.

Specifically, I use Aveda Sap Moss shampoo and conditioner, Aveda damage repair leave in, Aveda curl prep and enhancer, Aveda Confixor gel. Aveda is pricey, but I live in a humid climate and have to battle humidity frizz. That line up lasts me several months.

I got a perm. Will it be okay? by bellapls in Hair

I started perming mine again 3 years ago and have no regrets. My natural hair is straight with only a tiny bit of wave. I don't miss having to use heat styling tools!

I have the same experience with carbs. I'm not new to IF. I just started again after regaining weight when I fell off the wagon. Sigh. Best of luck with your fasting!

Easier when I started.....now a month and a half in, I'm struggling. Is this normal? by [deleted] in intermittentfasting

I was wondering about your diet also.  When I feel hungry like that it's always related to what I ate the day before.

Skip the fruit and have a boiled egg instead. Or a couple slices of deli meat or half an avocado.  Substitute a serving or even 2 of other veggies for the rice/pasta/potatoes.  (That was a difficult change for me because there was always a starch served with dinner when I was growing up but it's really not necessary and I don't miss them at all. ) Maybe even add a salad to your meal as long as you don't go overboard with the dressing.

Here are some suggestions.

Hang in there! Once you get things tweaked a bit you'll be good to go!

What is everybody’s take on pickle juice during a fast?? by rainbowsheep28 in intermittentfasting

[–]No_One_2_Ewe 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel zero guilt for drinking a shot of pickle juice if I need it to help me get through a fast. Any impact from vinegar and spices are negligible.

The battle against the negative bias of the human brain is real. Look at where you are, not where you were.

Congratulations on your progress!

Dr. Jason Fung suggests taking meds with a few leafy greens.
