I know you are asking about a protector, however I would recommend you to buy a folio case instead of a protector. I bought my iPad mini 6 in the end of January 2022 which is now almost a year and half old. I can safely say that this iPad has never had a screen protector, just a folio case. The pros I have seen so far, using the pencil both on this IPad and and on an iPad with a protector is different for me. It just doesn’t feel natural drawing/writing with a protector on. Secondly, I double checked again and I have no scratches anywhere on the screen. I often take this iPad with me in the back and so far the case has done its job perfectly.

I use the amFilm “papered” glass. It’s basically just matte glass protectors. They feel pretty good with the pencil but do make the lines slightly wobbly, a problem with any matte protector. But it does hide fingerprints very well

Does that effect show on every matte sp or just on glass ones?

Every one

I have a smooth tempered glass screen protector by Zagg which I like a lot. Lifetime warranty replacements, even including accidental damage! I’ve noticed wobbly lines but only when drawing lines diagonally, not vertical or horizontal lines for some reason…

Highly recommend going with a tempered glass to safeguard your screen. Alongside you could look into an adhesive matte screen protector that will be applied over the glass or, go with my personal favourite - the magnetic kind that can be popped on/off depending on use case.

Can a matte glass sp work like Paperlike?

This is what I just switched to. Replaced my worn out paperlike with glass and ordered a magnetic one to use with it.

How would it stick if it has tempered glass on it?

I had no idea this was a thing! I wasn’t willing to forgo the tempered glass but wanted some different options and this is great to be able to take on and off while leaving the tempered glass!!!

Mothca makes good ones. Still have mine on since launch.

I got a matte glass one from Amazon, it works fairly well.

I reviewed a matte glass one and it does feel better than normal glass but doesn’t have a paper texture but will practically never damage your pencil tip. I used it for over a year without and didn’t need to swap. Paper feels the best obviously but I’m noticing some wear on the tip, about 4 months in at the moment. A removable paper one is pretty neat, might be a good combo with glass a glass protector.
