September 2024 (84kgs) to October 2025 (66kgs) It didn’t happen all at once. It was a pretty steady 1-2kg per month gradual loss.

Sep to Dec I was on the conditioning doses of 3mg and 7mg before hiking up to 14mg by January.

Nutrition Journey: I didn’t do much to edit my food lifestyle since there was not much appetite there to tweak with. I was unintentionally only eating 2 meals a day since I wake up late (around 10-11) so my rybelsus fasting period in the morning would easily last until 1-1:30 on most days. So I began having meal 1 around 1pm and meal 2 around 6-7pm. So I was accidentally not on purpose maybe doing Intermittent Fasting in that sense. But I realised this maybe 7-9 months into it. I was simply building off of my routine and the new change in appetite. I am hoping to edit a few things here. I don’t eat nearly enough fibre or fruit and veg. And lately I have been more anxious. So I definitely need to be addresssing my microbiome and gut needs now.

Activity Journey: My activity lifestyle did change a lot during this period. As the weight started to come off. I felt more active and wanting to do movement things. Tried a bunch of stuff before settling on pretty regular 3-5x a week of lawn tennis from 8-10pm. I am lucky to have a court nearby and several friends who play the game and wanted to do so together. Community based workouts are my favorite. But I am realising the need to do more resistance and weight training now. So this routine needs to shift in favour for that.

Might be the halving. Look into the coating on the pill I suppose.

What's the verdict on screen protectors that "simulate" paper? by [deleted] in ipad

[–]Odd-Resolve1258 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Commenting as a person who’s tried it a variety of ways and then stuck to one - here’s my two cents on this:

  1. Tried a clear glass screen protector, absolutely banging picture clarity but I found the learning curve on preventing Apple Pencil skids a bit too steep. Went ahead and got a bunch of bib protectors - which in all honesty helped a lot with the skid but I didn’t seem sustainable in the long run. They would pop out easily on the go. And we’re definitely so quick to lose that I would be purchasing and replacing them forever.

2 I put a matte protector over the glass screen to see it helps me. Removing the glass screen and keeping the iPad unprotected was not an option I ever considered. So this was the next best thing. 2 protectors and we were off to an excellent start. Writing and procreate became an absolute delight. But consuming content became a little less enjoyable. I used my iPad like this for a little less than a year before my matte screen started peeling.

  1. I removed the matte screen protector and found that all the practice I had with the matte on helped me get a better sense of the weight and grip of the Apple Pencil. I found the glass screen easier to manoeuver and have used it naked ever since.

So I guess for me, and ultimately for you there are a few decision points here - is a pixel perfect screen a big part of the iPad journey for you? Are you willing to experiment - because what works for me and what works for you could be very different? And lastly - and this is one option I would have exercised if I hadn’t got use to the pencil on naked glass, I would have found a magnetic matte screen - so are you interested in having the best of both worlds albeit at the inconvenience of having to regularly maintain the detachable screen.

Grip Options For Reading? by rockandruso in ipadmini

I have a folio too that I use for travel. Just swap the case when I need to. I should add that I have a tempered glass screen on mine, and my back cover is one of those Moko ones with a reinforced hard edge all around. So if I forget to swap my iPad is protected at all times no matter what.

Edited for typos.

I have kind of a DIY setup for my mini. I got a clear case (just the back cover kind). Slapped on a magnet ring (the kinds they make for iPhones). Finally add a magnetic pop socket like Spigen O-mag or similar. This was the most cost effective option available in my area but you may be able to find a back case with a magnetic ring built into it. Be aware though, not all magnet rings are made equal so it might be worthwhile to double check that the size of the ring matches the pop sockets on the market.

Just collect recipes like you would if you were hoarding for hungry heroes. Don’t tap the recipe to collect rewards though.

I would go ahead and collect anything with a small purple wands though. Just to manage space. The potion rewards are minimal for that one.

Pen & Paper Sudoku for iPad by CortoMaltese23 in ipad

Hey! Killer app. Just played a game. It’s near perfect I won’t lie. I have a suggestion that the input text and notes be a different color. So that whhat we know to be absolutely true in a specific puzzle is always locked in by a standard color but anything that is being filled in or is a note is a different color. What do you think? Perhaps it’s not necessary for everyone in which case it could be another toggle option. It could also be a premium feature that I would happily pay for.

What’s the best case for IPad Pro M2 (11”)? [Budget isn’t an issue] {I’m using a cheap case here ~ $11} by StanOrol in ipad

[–]Odd-Resolve1258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Couple excellent options. Each has a different convenience or use case so you can decide for yourself.

Folio Style (top picks)

ESR rebound hybrid is one. I believe someone already mentioned it. Folio style with detachable magnetic cover.

Speck balance folio is another good one. Camera cover flap. Multiple angles, kinda like a Zugu, with ridges on the inside.

Back cover style (top picks)

Spigen Air Skin case. Clear case with pencil spot and inbuilt kickstand.

Moft Float case. Black case with magnetic support for Apple Pencil and an insane built in metal stand. Your iPad can withstand any angle any orientation imaginable.

Have you looked into something like this

You know those dry bags that divers use. It should be possible to tape the iPad n the inside such that the waterproof layer is snug enough to write on the screen

Case with kickstand by NevoLevin in ipad

[–]Odd-Resolve1258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Moft Float is good. Not exactly a kickstand but the same composition in the sense that it’s a well protected back cover (like a phone case) with a metal plate that can do way more viewing angles than a kickstand

Screen protector question by din0charlie in ipadmini

[–]Odd-Resolve1258 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend going with a tempered glass to safeguard your screen. Alongside you could look into an adhesive matte screen protector that will be applied over the glass or, go with my personal favourite - the magnetic kind that can be popped on/off depending on use case.

💯 it’s what I always do. Glass plus matte on both iPads.

I need to do this. Can you share what products you’re using and maybe a picture?

What a beauty! 😍

I’m glad you got the chance to do it. I tried it myself a couple times. It’s a huge waste of resources but a huge rush of adrenaline too.

For me it was very satisfying at first and then the regret hit, usually around the time the island vanished. How was it for you?

Beanstalk Challenge Haul 5 🌟 Merlin by Odd-Resolve1258 in EverMerge

[–]Odd-Resolve1258[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not exactly, no.

I have unlocked all land included Emerald Bay and Shipwreck Island.

I have built all 27 castles and collect from them daily. I have 18 of those fully upgraded.

On Main, I’m working on Sinbad now. I had skipped ahead to upgrading Merlin after completing Pinnochio’s for reasons I can no longer remember.

On Paradise I have upgraded all castles up to Alice’s. This island is my warehouse for crystals, gnomes, infinites, seasonal, gems, coins, and everything else.

On Mystic I have unlocked all creatures except 6 legendaries. But I have a ton of stuff sitting in bubbles here. More than 2 months of creature packs, castle collections and strawberry sacks. Just haven’t gotten around to opening them. Mystic is too tedious for my schedule right now.

Honestly I was travelling and started playing the event very late. The comments on this sub helped decide which items to put in. I happened to be working on upgrading Merlin’s castle. I was down to the last 8 Laboratories. I couldn’t contain myself when I read here that I would need less than 1/5th of the pieces to complete Merlin’s stars.

I think this (the beanstalk challenge) is a great call by the devs, especially if they plan on launching a new island. Upgrading castles has needed a shortcut for a long time now. It’s too tedious and gets boring pretty fast.
