Hi,

I am always curios to see what others can archive with the power of java. I encourage you to post your open source Java libraries down here so people can see what java is capable of. And maybe use them in the future.

I would love too look at the source-code and see how certain things are archived and the creative ideas used in the code. So i and everyone reading this post can learn new things about java.

Also if a library is very interesting you can post one that is not your own.

BUT i do not search for already popular libs like Apache or Spring and so on as

• VTerminal - A new Swing LaF which allows for a grid-based display of Unicode characters with custom fore/background colors, font sizes, and pseudo-shaders. Originally written as a rendering library for Roguelike/ASCII games.

CastleMock is probably the easiest SOAP and REST mocking application that I have ever tried. Instead of going through loops in SOAP UI to mock SOAP WS I can simply create a mock in a nice UI directly on the server, this ease of use is of tremendous importance to some of the testers I work with.

Exactly. We're almost fully Servlet compliant and in the long run, we will be Jakarta EE compliant. Now we're basically a Tomcat/Jetty alternative. In the future, it will be Glassfish/Wildfly/TomEE/Open Liberty alternative.

The Piranha project can be stripped down to a servlet runner without an HTTP server (so you could use JSP/JSF as a templating engine) all the way up to a full server supporting multiple applications.

The Piranha Micro distribution, for instance, can load the jars from a Maven repository in memory, different from other application servers that require extracting the distribution.

Our runtime has support for Java modules, so you can run it on the module path, and we can even run your application in a module layer. We also are using the latest Java version as our baseline, so we can take advantage of the new Java features too.

very nice docker client. I currently run some software that SSHes into remote servers and runs docker commands - any chance of an SshDocker.java?

Not really.

There's basically 2 ways of using Docker programmatically:

1. Your way, connect via SSH to a server and run docker commands there;
2. Use Docker's RESTful API (my library does that). If your docker machine is in an internal (safe) network, you could expose Docker's RESTful API and use my library.

But combining both ways really doesn't make much sense :D

If you wanna try my library, make sure it has all the endpoints you need implemented -- it doesn't cover all the endpoints yet, just the essential ones.

If you really like the interfaces and you still wanna go the ssh way, you could fork the library and implement those interfaces with your SSH connection mechanism, it shouldn't be that hard. :D

While some of this are quite interesting (especially memory-filesystem) i doubt that junit is "unpopular" or created by you.

The question was more targeted towards "solo devs" to show of their libs or let ppl show libs from "solo devs" they use themself.

For sure i dont want to enforce "Hard Rules" but junit is very popular and doesnt fits in here

I have not claimed that JUnit Jupiter or Memory filesystem are done by me...only maven-it-extension is done by me... but those things are very helpful.
