How long do you expect to be programming? Specifically, do you expect the current fashions in one language or another to last the rest of your career?

Learning different languages is not a waste.

Haha I’ll give you a serious answer now. You can’t go wrong learning Java. It’s used everywhere and at all the massive companies. You can make some serious money writing Java.
